The Kremlin has commented on the humiliating midterms defeat dealt to Donald Trump’s party overnight. Vladimir Putin’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, commented on the results this morning, and shared the Kremlin’s “hope” over Mr Trump’s work on bringing the illegal war on Ukraine started by Moscow in 2022 to an end. He said, as reported by Interfax: “President Trump continues to exercise his powers, and we sincerely hope that he will continue his peacekeeping efforts.”
