Knicks, Hawks get into fiery scuffle with two ejections in wild scene

ATLANTA — The Hawks had nothing left to play for. All they could do was pretend to show fight and provoke the Knicks.

Mitchell Robinson took their bait.

As the Knicks led by 50 points with just under five minutes left in the second quarter of their Game 6 clash against the Hawks Thursday night at State Farm Arena, Robinson and Dyson Daniels were both ejected for sparking a heated fracas.

As OG Anunoby took a free throw, Daniels yanked Robinson’s arm. Robinson subsequently got in Daniels’ face, and Onyeka Okongwu came over and tried to pull Robinson away from Daniels. That’s when it ignited.

Players and coaches from both teams ran in and separated the two, but Robinson tried to go back for more. Knicks coach Mike Brown fell while trying to get in Robinson’s way.

Robinson and Daniels were the only ejections.
