One of the first big releases of 2025 is about to make its debut on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is an action role-playing game set in 15th Century Medieval Europe. It’s a direct sequel to the 2018 original, which is developed by Czech developer Warhorse Studio and published by Deep Silver.
If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the launch of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, then the good news is that the game has a February 4 release date.
Unfortunately, however, fans from the UK and Europe face an agonisingly long wait to start playing.
Instead of the usual midnight launch, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has a 4pm GMT UK release time.
On the plus side, at least gaming fans can have an early night instead of staying up until midnight and beyond.
To ensure you can start playing the moment the game goes live, pre-order customers can actually pre-load the game ahead of launch.
Developer Warhorse has confirmed plans to release a day-one patch, which is worth downloading as it’s likely to contain a number of bug fixes.
Interestingly, however, some pre-order customers have managed to get hold of the game early, although Warhorse advises holding off for the launch day patch.
“Some of you got a #KCD2 disc early—we get the excitement! But the game goes live 4 Feb with a crucial Day 1 patch,” Warhorse tweets.
“If you got an early copy, we’d suggest waiting until 5pm CET/8am PST to play—and please, no streams, screens, or spoilers before then. Thanks!”
It’s actually worth purchasing the game early if you can, because there’s a special pre-order bonus available for early adopters.
Available for pre-order customers, The Lion’s Crest is described as a “unique questline that, once completed, will reward you with the legendary armour and weapon set of the famous Knight Brunswick: The Lion’s Crest”.
As for the game itself, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 features realistic first-person combat, as well as countless side activities to improve your character.
