King Charles's four words reveal how he was gearing up to handle 'difficult' Prince Harry

King Charles III’s true feelings during the ongoing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drama have been revealed in a new royal book.

Not long after ascending the throne in September 2022, the King had deal with the fallout from Harry and Meghan’s explosive Netflix docuseries.

The release of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare also followed just weeks later, meaning the start to the monarch’s reign could have proven difficult for the monarch.

However, the King is said to have handled it in the best way he could and even voiced his true feelings to an old friend.

Author Robert Hardman’s writes in his new booy ‘Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story’: “Indeed, friends and family noticed that, for all the burdens and brickbats, he was as happy as they had ever seen him.”

The book added: “‘I’m ready for it’, he said of being King to an old friend during those difficult months.”

This comes after the book revealed that the late Queen was “as angry as I’d ever seen her” after Harry and Meghan claimed they got her blessing to name their daughter Lilibet.

Mr Hardman’s book revealed a staff member’s account of the late Queen’s reaction after Lilibet’s name reveal.

Despite Meghan and Harry claiming that they got her blessing, the BBC later reported that a source said that the late Queen was never asked by the couple whether they could use Lilibet.

Lilibet was the late Queen’s nickname from childhood. It was also affectionately used by her husband Prince Phillip – who died just two months before Princess Lilibet’s birth in 2021.
