Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be all smiles today after they shared the news that their partnership with Netflix will continue. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they will have a multi-year, first-look deal for film and television projects with the streaming giant, a slight difference to the five-year deal they did have, which many believed would not be renewed when it came to an end in September.
As well as confirming the couple’s extended partnership with Netflix, a statement by Meghan, 44, also confirmed the second series of her Netflix show ‘With Love, Meghan’ will air this month. The show will also have a holiday special ‘With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration’, which much to the delight and surprise of fans, will hit TV screens in December. While little is yet known about this, there was a key sign in Monday’s statement that hints Prince Harry, 40, could have a role in the Christmas episode of his wife’s cooking show.
This will no doubt please royal fans as the prince appeared only for a few minutes in the show’s first season.
In a statement on Monday, it was revealed that Meghan’s Christmas special would include “friends and family”, a hint that Harry, as Meghan’s husband and part of her family, could feature, although this is yet to be confirmed.
The release read: “This December, join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration. Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home.
“It’s a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy.”
It is not yet known who will feature in the Christmas special with the duchess, or whether she will let her children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, be in front of the cameras.
It has also not been confirmed which guests will appear on season two of “With Love, Meghan”, which will hit TV screens within weeks.
