Kensington Palace has announced a major staffing shift for Prince William and Princess Kate. Sarah Rose will become the new Chief Executive Officer of The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales. Ms Rose has led Channel 5 and Paramount’s business in the UK since February 2024 and will become CEO in Feb 2026.
On the news of the new hire, the Prince and Princess of Wales said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Sarah to The Royal Foundation and to working with her on some of the issues which are closest to our hearts. We are hugely grateful to Amanda for her exceptional leadership over the past three years and are pleased she will continue to work with us in her new role as Global Partnerships Ambassador.”
Amanda Berry has served as the foundation’s CEO for the past three years.
Speaking about her exciting new role, Sarah explained: “I am honoured to be joining The Royal Foundation and am excited by the ambition it has for the future.
“I’m incredibly proud to have spent 30 years in public service broadcasting and I now look forward to working with Their Royal Highnesses, and the team at the Foundation, to support the vital work they do to tackle some of society’s most urgent challenges.”
The Royal Foundation is a charity set up to support the work of Prince William and Princess Kate and has many key projects at its heart, including William’s work with the Earthshot Prize and his homelessness initiative, Homewards, to Catherine’s work on early years development.
When Amanda begins her new role next year, she will have many exciting projects to get involved with. While the fifth annual Earthshot Prize Awards will be hosted in Brazil this year, she will undoubtedly play a key role in the sixth awards towards the end of 2026.
As well as this, Prince William’s passion project, Homewards, will mark its third anniversary next year as it continues to work to prove that it is possible to end homelessness, making it “rare, brief and unrepeated.”
Homewards is focusing on six areas around the UK using scalable solutions to really make a difference – Lambeth in South London, Bournemouth, Newport, Belfast, Aberdeen and Sheffield.
