Kelly Osbourne has called out celebrities for allegedly staging a “disturbing photo-op” amid the catastrophic Los Angeles fires, just days after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were named “disaster tourists” for it.

The daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne took to Instagram to upload a new video, which has now been deleted, to blast celebrities for “using other people’s pain and suffering as a photo op”.

In the video, she said: “Is it just me being my normal overthinking cynical self, or is it really disturbing to see all of these celebrities using other people’s pain and suffering as a photo op.

“To say, ‘Look I’m helping, I’m doing this, I’m doing that?’

“I don’t believe you help so that you can get attention for helping. I believe you just help because you want to,” Osbourne continued.

“No one asked you to come out and give hugs. Go home.”

While Ms Osbourne didn’t mention any celebrities by name, many people in the comment section pointed towards the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, whose recent appearance in LA, even though not the only ones, sparked backlash led by Hollywood actress Justine Bateman, who labelled them “disaster tourists.

In a reuploaded video on Tiktok, one user wrote: “So you mean Megan and Harry? Yes yes yes and Jennifer garner prolly(sic).”

Another one added: “Well said meghan and Harry brought a full film crew with them for there own benefit PR stunt.”

A third one agreed: “No I agree I saw Harry and Meghan the other day it was obviously for the cameras.”

A fourth one commented: “Before I looked at comments I knew it was going to be Harry and Megan,s names that would appear the most.Never one to miss a publicity opportunity.”

A fifth one said: “I know exactly who you’re talking about. H&M go home!!!

However, there were others which disagreed with Ms Osbourne’s views, with one defending the Sussex couple, saying: “[They] didn’t bring their own film crew. The paparazzi just decided to show because of who they are no other reason other than that why are you second-guessing what celebrities choose to do or not choose.”

A second one added: “I’d like to think that not all of them are out there for the photo op. We have to keep in mind thatt these people are followed by photographers every time they leave their house.”

A third one said: “It’s just you. There are good ppl out there. Sometimes it takes events such as this to bring communities together.”

The video comes days after the Sussexes stepped out to visit an evacuation centre and food bank in Pasadena last Friday, while Meghan was also seen volunteering at the teen charity’s warehouse on Monday.

Last week, Harry and Meghan released a statement urging people to “open their homes” to those evacuated and “check in” on any of their “disabled or elderly neighbours”. They are also believed to have donated supplies to those affected, including clothing, children’s items and other essentials.
