Sir Keir Starmer’s head of communications has become the latest in a series of aides to quit No 10.
Steph Driver spent five years as Sir Keir’s communications chief when he was opposition leader before becoming deputy director and then director of communications at Downing Street.
She follows Paul Ovendon who resigned as the PM’s director of political strategy over offensive Diane Abbott messages.
James Lyons also quit as director of communications for strategy earlier this month after just one year in the role.
It is the latest blow to the Prime Minister who is facing open questions over his leadership.
