Josh Jacobs is being taken off the commissioner’s exempt list, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday.

The Packers running back was placed on the list on Aug. 30 after being arrested in Wisconsin in May on charges related to an alleged altercation with a woman at his home.

Jacobs pleaded no contest on Sept. 10 to charges of battery and criminal destruction of property. He was fined $1,000 after being convicted of the former charge and reached a deferred judgment agreement on the latter.

The NFL’s investigation under the personal conduct policy remains open, so the league reserves the right to enact further discipline on Jacobs should the investigation deem it necessary.

Jacobs will be officially removed from the list on Monday, and he is anticipated to be eligible to play in the Packers’ Week 7 matchup with the Lions on Oct. 25.

Should the NFL’s investigation warrant a suspension, the six games that Jacobs has already missed would count toward the ban.

The league investigation continues in part because it has not seen the surveillance video from inside Jacobs’ home that was mentioned in the report. Other footage showed some of the incident that took place in Jacobs’ garage.

Jacobs on Wednesday filed a suit to block the release of evidence and have it permanently sealed.

Jacobs, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, spent five seasons with the Raiders before signing a four-year, $48 million contract with the Packers before the 2024 season.

Jacobs’ attorneys, Clarence F. Duchac III, David Z. Chesnoff, and Richard A. Schonfeld, released a statement on the matter.

“Josh has dedicated the last several months to bettering himself, and he accepts responsibility for his actions,” the statement read via Tom Pelissero of The Ringer. “Josh is grateful for the support he is receiving from his teammates, coaches, the Packers organization, and the greatest fans in the world.

“Since there are ongoing legal matters, he will not have any further comment.”
