Giants coach John Harbaugh has jokes for Giants running back Cam Skattebo after his dangerous backflip went haywire at Fanatics Fest last week.

When asked about the viral moment by Bob Papa and Carl Banks on the “Bleav in Giants” podcast, he told Skattebo that if he’s going to do that, “at least stick it.”

“My reaction when I saw it on my phone? My reaction was – I haven’t talked to him yet, I’m going to talk to him, I’m sure – my reaction was this: Dude, at least stick,” Harbaugh said.

“Land the thing if you’re going to do it.”

Skattebo is coming off a gruesome dislocated ankle that he suffered in October 2025, which cost him the season and set off a lengthy recovery process.

He appears to be in good enough shape to be doing backflips – though, as Harbaugh notes, he did not land it – and is surely preparing for training camp.

“Skat’s going to be ready to go,” Harbaugh said. “He’s been working super hard. He’s really been training like crazy. His mind is on camp. He’s healthy. He’s ready to roll, and I can’t wait to see him at practice.”

Harbaugh’s practices are the stuff of legend in terms of the amount of pressure they put on the players, as his former No. 1 Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers previously complained about their intensity.

Skattebo will need to show that he can hang for a whole season after suffering the nasty injury that ruined a strong rookie season.

The Arizona State product played in just eight games last season, tallying 410 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.

He added 24 catches for 207 yards and two scores.
