Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s girlfriend, model and influencer Olivia Ponton, has built a platform off transparency and honesty.

She is an open book for her fans and followers, and detailed another heartbreaking chapter of this book during a TikTok video that was posted on Saturday.

“Being anorexic, nine times out of 10, is not going to give you the body that you’re craving, nor desiring. And as someone who has struggled with many, many, many forms of eating disorders, specifically anorexia, I want to talk about this,” Ponton said.

She then spoke about the misconception that models and anyone that, “have to make their body look a certain way for their job” don’t eat, and said that, “couldn’t be further from the truth.”

“When people think that you are anorexic, it automatically means that you’re going to be the skinniest, and look the best that you’ve ever looked. Example for me, when I was going through the height of my eating disorders, I have never looked worse,” Ponton added.

She went on to say that she’s now out of those disordered eating patterns, she has never felt and looked better.

Ponton deserves a lot of credit for being willing to share about what was clearly a tough battle during that time of her life, especially because she’s doing so in hopes other people who are struggling with something similar can learn something and work to help themselves.
