Joe Biden slammed for backing Prince Harry in visa case: 'Something to hide!'

The Biden Administration has also supported Harry in the case while the DHS has argued that the documents going public could be a violation of the Duke’s privacy.

In its court filing, they say: “[The case] comes about in the main because HRH [His Royal Highness] voluntarily – and for immense profit – admitted in writing to the elements of any number of controlled substance violations. (Indeed, some say HRH has approached the point of bragging and encouraging illegal drug use.)

“The Duke of Sussex did so despite the fact that it is widely known that such admissions can have adverse immigration consequences for non-citizens and despite employing preeminent legal advisers on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Nile Gardiner, the director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at The Heritage Foundation, tells Daily Express US that Harry could be removed from the US if he is found to have lied on his application.

He said: “It is quite possible that there is something to hide for the Biden administration. A key issue in the case is did the US government give preferential treatment to Prince Harry?

“The fact they are trying to block the release of the records suggests that there is something to hide.

“If Harry was truthful on his application he should welcome the release of the records.”

He added: “What happens next, if Harry is found to have lied, he should be treated like anyone else who lied on their visa application. It is a criminal offense.

“Normally in this scenario, people found to have lied would be removed from the country. That is a matter for the US authorities to deal with.”
