The Chargers head coach could barely string words together at his postgame presser following the team’s fifth straight loss to start the season. Harbaugh was asked what the message is for the team after starting 0-5.

“Yeah, I don’t know what that message is,” he said.

“It’s just in the players to just fight their hearts out, to play, give it everything they have. That’s the only way. That’s the best way.”

The Chargers have yet to win a game after losing 23-17 to the Broncos Sunday.

Harbaugh has led the Chargers to its worst franchise start in 23 years, a monumental defeat for the head coach that was supposed to change the direction of the team after years of demise.

But in the third season of the Harbaugh era, the Chargers are one of the worst teams in the NFL.

The phrase “I screwed up” was uttered multiple times by Harbaugh throughout his postgame presser and it’s clear the coaching staff has no answers for what’s transpired over the last month.

The Chargers, who are now also dealing with a flurry of injuries, won’t catch a break in their unrelenting schedule as they are set to face the Chiefs in Week 6 after losing to another divisional opponent Sunday.
