Cheryl Killough, a flight attendant with five years of experience, has taken TikTok by storm with her candid revelations about passengers’ footwear choices and what they reveal about their personalitie
s. She’s dishing out advice to Jet2, Ryanair, Easyjet, and TUI travellers, suggesting that shoes can speak volumes about the person wearing them.
In her viral video, Cheryl says, “What I’m assuming about you based on the shoes that you’re wearing on the plane coming from a five-year flight attendant”. Her insights have left many online users stunned by their accuracy, as reported by BirminghamLive.
For those sporting New Balance trainers, Cheryl quips, “This guy has probably not flown in eight years, but he is gonna be the sweetest man I’ve ever met in my life.”
When it comes to Hey Dude sneakers, she doesn’t hold back: “I know exactly who you voted for, and there’s a huge chance you already chug two or three beers in the airport.”
She notes that Hoka sneaker wearers are often healthcare professionals like nurses or doctors, reports Glasgow Live.
And for Crocs enthusiasts, Cheryl’s assumption is less than flattering: “didn’t shower before the flight.”
She adds, “And your sweatpants probably have at least one stain on them,” painting a vivid picture of the laid-back traveller.
The flight attendant shared her candid views on passengers based on their choice of footwear, expressing distrust for those who wear Nike high-top sneakers. “Because they’re so nice when they come on board but the second there’s a delay or something doesn’t go their way they are the nastiest, rudest person I’ve ever met,” she remarked.
Regarding Adidas trainers, she observed: “We’re most likely flying from a college town and you’re either heading back to uni or off to visit your folks.”
She also had insights about Teva sandals wearers, noting: “This person had the best time in Costa Rica, and their bag was probably overweight because it had a bible in it.”
For those sporting Doc Martens, she suggested they often face “overweight baggage fees”, while individuals in heeled booties were typically “sweetie pies”. She added, “This lass wanted to flaunt her style in the airport and she probably has one of those flat-brimmed, overpriced hats attached to her luggage,”.
Ugg enthusiasts were described as “nice”, but Birkenstock choices could lead to three assumptions: “We could be coming from Mexico, as in Cancun or Cabo, and you’re probably gonna say ‘hola’ to me when you come on board, you’re a suburban mom in a cute sun dress, or you took a concerning amount of edibles before this flight,” she explained.
Lastly, she revealed that men in loafers were often older, stating, “This guy is definitely retired and there’s a huge chance that he’s the reason that there’s pee on the floor in the bathroom.”
On the topic of Cloud sneakers, she commented: “This person is either the worst Karen I’ve ever encountered and nothing will meet their standards, or they’re the sweetest soul I’ve ever met who loves going to church. There’s no middle ground.”
For those donning Golden Goose footwear, she speculated that you’re likely affluent. “These are always paired with at least three David Yurman bracelets and we most likely don’t have the kind of wine you want on board,” she quipped.
Cheryl went on to say that if she spotted someone in Converse All Star sneakers, she would presume they’re a teacher.
Regarding Timberlands, she said: “If there’s an emergency on board, I’m immediately gonna seek out this bloke ’cause he can definitely do heavy lifting,”.
