Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have announced an expansion of their popular programme to a popular holiday destination as travellers rush for tickets. Further flights to Iceland from London Stansted Airport have been added for Winter 25/26, taking off during the February half term.
The airline said the decision was made “in direct response to the demand we have seen from customers” for flights to the Nordic island nation.
More than 1,500 extra seats have been added, with the following flights to the “bucket list desination” going on sale:
- Extra Thursday services on February 12 and 19, 2026
- Additional Monday flying on February 16
- New Sunday services on February 22
It’s in addition to the company’s existing Iceland programme for Winter 25/26 from London Stansted Airport that’s on sale. This includes twice-weekly flights, on Wednesday and Sunday from October 26 to November 16 this year, and March 11 to April 5 2026, as reported by Essex Live.
The firms said they are offering “customers and independent travel agents an unrivalled choice of departure points to Iceland for Winter 25/26”.
Jet2 says its offering means holidaymakers can travel to the country in “key periods during Winter 25/26 including over the October half-term, February half-term, Easter holidays and in the countdown to Christmas”.
According to the company, the flights available give customers flexibility about when they travel, and flights are “perfectly timed for those wanting to witness the spectacular Northern Lights and experience the best of Iceland”.
Customers can choose from flight-only or package holiday options, with package options with Jet2CityBreaks available for a £60-per-person deposit. Included in these package options are:
- Guided Northern Lights Tour
- Flights with Jet2.com
- 22kg hold luggage and transfers to and from the airport
- Choice of 3 and 4-star hotels in central Reykjavik
