His appearance comes just months after the final ever episode of The Grand Tour aired on Amazon Prime Video last Autumn.

Clarkson’s involvement had been leaked ahead of an official announcement after Car SOS host Tim revealed details about the ex-Top Gear presenter’s involvement.

Tim said: “Jeremy was happy for us to bring a full coach load of people. I mean, think about it – 60 strangers turning up at your property!”

“We spent about half an hour with Jeremy and he was warm, friendly, and, of course, typically sarcastic and funny.

“He genuinely cared about the wellbeing of both the team, and most importantly, the car’s owner.”

Meanwhile, Mike Brewer is set to showcase his expertise in the garage with a stunning restoration at his Sheffield car dealership.

Car SOS producers Discovery have also confirmed the series will feature a special guest appearance from comedian Johnny Vegas with more star-studded names soon to be announced.

Car SOS is one of the most popular motoring shows on television with Fuzz and Tim completing restorations on deserving owners’ dream cars.

Each individual is nominated by a friend or family member and usually involves an individual unable to restore their car due to personal challenges.

This could be deserving motorists who are suffering from health issues or financial problems.

Tim and Fuzz collect the car and immediately get to work to bring the model back to life, sourcing parts and tackling difficult repairs.

Each show ends with a big reveal with the owners getting a chance to take the newly restored model for a spin.
