Jennifer Garner is reflecting on her early career.

The “13 Going on 30” star has revealed that she was always hesitant to discuss her breakthrough role in the ABC hit “Alias” because she was worried about spoiling something important.

“You should have seen back in ‘Alias’ land, I was scared to say anything,” Garner, 53, shared during a book event in Brentwood, California, on Thursday, per People. “I never said a word.”

Garner was in Brentwood earlier this week to celebrate the release of bestselling author Laura Dave’s newest novel, “The First Time I Saw Him,” which is a sequel to her 2021 book “The Last Thing He Told Me.”

The original novel became a global phenomenon and was adapted into a hit Apple TV series in 2023, with Garner starring in the lead role as Hannah Hall.

Like Garner, Dave admitted that she was “so afraid of getting in trouble” for accidentally spoiling important plot points from her latest story, which reminded the “Elektra” star of her own time shooting “Alias” 20 years ago.

Premiering in 2001 and running for five seasons, the spy action thriller starred Garner as CIA double agent Sydney Bristow.

The J.J. Abrams-created series, which was deeply rooted in espionage, became popular for its plot twists and ability to regularly subvert its fans’ expectations, making it hard for cast members like Garner, Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin, Michael Vartan and Bradley Cooper to talk about.

The “Juno” star previously opened up about “Alias” and a possible revival during an appearance on “The View” back in 2023.

“Oh my gosh, would that be the most fun ever? That would be so fun,” Garner said regarding bringing “Alias” back nearly 20 years after it concluded in 2006.

“You know, that’s really, that’s up to J.J.,” she added at the time. “Nobody has ever really brought it up.”

Elsewhere during the book signing event this week, Garner opened up about ex-husband Ben Affleck and how he listened to Beyoncé’s 2008 hit “Halo” on repeat while shooting “The Town” in Massachusetts in 2009.

The former couple married in 2005 but split 10 years later in 2015.

Garner and Affleck, 53, share kids Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 13.

“Do you guys do this? Do you listen to a song over and over again?” Garner asked the audience during the event at Diesel, A Bookstore. “I just want to tell you something. I’ve survived this. I have lived through it.”

“Ben Affleck listens to a song over and over,” she continued. “I had a 3-month-old and a 3-year-old living in a rental in Cambridge, while he was shooting ‘The Town.’ And he listened to Beyoncé‘s ‘Halo,’ and I would be nursing.”

Dave, meanwhile, admitted that she also likes to listen to the same song on repeat.

“I love that because the only other person now besides Ben that I’ve heard that does that was [screenwriter] Tom Stoppard,” the author, 48, shared. “And when I heard that, I thought, okay, I’m in some good company.”
