Break out the pompoms, grab the confetti, tune up the trumpets and secure the parade route, because if you drafted Jayden Daniels as your fantasy quarterback, you get him back Sunday.

The young dual-threat weapon was knocked out right before halftime of Week 2 with a dislocated left (non-throwing) elbow. With his return, whatever problems your fantasy team had, they now will be magically solved, right?

Well, certainly he will help. But you might want to keep a lid on the confetti container for a moment, and perhaps don’t schedule a parade just yet. We will allow for the trumpet tuneup, and keep your pompoms close because you want to be ready if it does go as well as some expect.

Let’s focus for a moment on the long term. Almost certainly, Daniels is your best QB option on your roster. So whatever you did to bridge the gap during his absence, your team now is almost certainly better. And assuming his good health the rest of the season, he will remain that — even if he isn’t a top five fantasy QB like he was in his 2024 rookie season.
