Jannik Sinner’s Monte Carlo rendezvous with model before French Open | Tennis | Sport

World No. 1 and French Open finalist Jannik Sinner was forced to shed some light on his love life after being spotted with Russian model Lara Leito in Monte Carlo. The Italian had previously dated WTA star Anna Kalinskaya but he confirmed that they were no longer together upon his arrival at Roland Garros.

Sinner and Kalinskaya dated through 2024, publicly embracing after his US Open victory, though they kept their relationship largely private. There was no announcement that they had ended their time together; Sinner only confirmed his status when asked about a holiday before travelling to Paris.

Sinner and Leito were snapped in Monte Carlo and Italian publications claimed that the two were dating, prompting questions over whether she would appear in his box at the French Open to cheer him on.

Chi Magazine published pictures of the pair together and claimed that she watched him as he trained at the Monte Carlo Country Club. She was reportedly seen hugging him after the session and left in his Audi RS6 ABT Legacy Edition car.

Leito, who has over 350,000 followers on Instagram, previously dated Oscar winner Adrien Brody.

She also shared several posts at the Monte Carlo Masters, though Sinner was not able to compete due to his three-month doping ban.

Leito, 31, is best known for her modelling career having worked for Vogue and L’Officiel, in addition to being a regular on the red carpet – including the famous Cannes Film Festival on multiple occasions.

She graduated from the University of Berkley in California with a degree in business administration, specialising in marketing and communications.

However, when asked on the first day of the French Open for an update on his love life after being spotted with Leito, Sinner confirmed that he is “not in a relationship.”

He said: “I was very surprised to see some pictures, which, you know, nothing serious … I’m not in a relationship. So, whoever is asking, that’s it. It’s all good.”

For now, Sinner’s sole focus is beating Alcaraz in Sunday’s final, adding to his title collection and walking away from Paris £2.1million richer.

After defeating Novak Djokovic in the semi-final, the Italian said: “It doesn’t get any bigger now. Grand Slam finals against Carlos, it’s a special moment for me and for him, too.

“He won here last year, so let’s see what’s coming. But for sure, the tension you feel before the match and during the match is a little bit different in a way, because we are both very young, we are both different, but talented. So let’s see.”
