CLEVELAND — In the wake of Jalen Brunson’s eyebrow-raising comment that he hopes the Knicks “do right by me” after he sacrificed salary on his current contract, the star point guard made one thing clear:

He wants to be a Knick until he hangs up the Nikes.

“I would love to be here for the rest of my career. I love this place,” Brunson told The Post. “They’ve welcomed me with open arms. They’ve been behind my back since Day 1. I built a life here. And I love the city, I love the fans, I love everything this place has offered me, on and off the court. So I just love it here. And I’d love to stay.”

Brunson is eligible for a contract extension after next season — so in the summer of 2027 — worth a max of $257 million over four years.
