This pretty village is one of Ireland’s most beautiful, it’s near the coast and is home to incredible natural scenery alongside a thriving food scene.

Doolin is located on Ireland’s west coast and is one of the best villages to visit if you plan to see the Cliffs of Moher.

The famous cliffs are one of the most iconic sights in Ireland and are a popular place for tourists. Walking there from Doolin will take you about two hours.

While in the area, you should visit the Clare Coastal Walk Project, an incredible area of natural beauty.

One visitor on Tripadvisor said: “Seriously… don’t miss this. Spectacular views and the freshest sea air.

“There are so many paths along the cliffs that anyone can find the right one. At the visitor center, you can catch a ride to the top. All the coastal villages have paths to the cliffs.”

Another great place to visit is Doolin Cave – a visitor on Tripadvisor said: “WOW! Absolutely breathtaking to see one of the largest stalactites in the world. There are a lot of stairs, but it is completely worth it!”

If you’re looking to enjoy a rest at a local pub, O’Connor’s Pub is a buzzing popular spot in the area. Known for its incredible food and selection of drinks, the pub is a must-visit.

One guest on Tripadvisor said: “Wow! Some of the best food we’ve had in Ireland in over a week […] the atmosphere is just what you want from an Irish pub.”

There are a range of places to grab a bite to eat, on the blog Hand Luggage Only, one person said: “Fitzpatrick’s Bar […] serves up a feast. Alternatively, head to The Ivy Cottage for their salmon broth served with salty butter and bread. It’s so good!”

Doolin is a great place to visit in any season and it’s the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors and soak up Irish culture.
