It’s been rumoured for months, and now we finally know the exact time when Apple will launch its next batch of devices. The US technology giant has just sent out invites to the world’s media and Tuesday, September 9 is date all Apple fans need to pop in their diary. “Awe dropping,” the message reads. “Please join us for a special Apple Event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park.”

So what’s coming next month? Apple never reveals anything ahead of the big day, but rumours are rife that the iPhone 17 range will be confirmed during the event. These call makers will replace the iPhone 16, which are currently the US firm’s flagships.
It’s almost certain we’ll see a standard model shown off alongside a refreshed iPhone 17 Pro – leaked images have shown this phone could get a new look with camera bump that spreads across the whole rear of the case.
Along with the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro, there could also be a big surprise with whispers suggesting an iPhone 17 Air will also be shown to the world.
As the name suggests, this device could be super skinny and be far easier to slot into pockets.
We can expect all of Apple’s new devices to feature a faster processor, improved cameras and be smarter than before.
Full details will be revealed on September 9th at 6pm BST and it’s definitely one to watch out for if you are due an upgrade. If previous years are anything to go by, the next event won’t just be about phones.
It’s also likely that we’ll see upgrades to the Apple Watch and AirPods at the event as well with these gadgets often getting a boost during the yearly iPhone showcase.
Apple Watch fans will surely be hoping for a design refresh this year along with improve health features and longer battery life.
