Inside the Shohei Ohtani-Dalton Rushing dynamic

The Dodgers completed a sweep of the Minnesota Twins this week, but not without some rare on-field frustrations between two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani and catcher Dalton Rushing.

That’s what California Post Dodgers writers Jack Harris and Dylan Hernandez are discussing in the latest episode of the Dodgers Post podcast.

They break down the cause of the public on-field friction between the two players, how each responded to questions about the situation after the game, and why the reaction of the rest of the team in the dugout amid the mayhem speaks highly of their clubhouse culture.

Later, former MLB veteran, Padres color commentator, and host of Gwynn & Chris sports talk show Tony Gwynn Jr. joins the program to explain why San Diego is struggling, the dark cloud of an impending collective bargaining lockout, and what it was like playing inside the bankrupt McCourt era in Los Angeles.

Finally, the show completely derails into an unhinged debate over reader mailbag comments regarding the keto diet, marriage ATM rules, and a bitter argument over the official prediction scoreboard standings.

All that and more on the latest episode of Dodgers Post.
