Shocking footage shows the moment a brawl amongst machete-wielding thugs erupts in a park in Scotland. At least five masked yobs can be seen swinging large knives above their heads, leaving a man in hospital in a serious condition and his XL bully dead.
Police have since launched an investigation into the incident, which occurred in Eric Hendrie Park in Aberdeen on July 27 at around 8:30pm. A woman can be heard shouting “run” before a Mini Cooper speeds off with a man clinging to the bonnet. Detective Sergeant Emma Low said: “Officers were called to a report of a vehicle within the park and a disturbance taking place.”
Police have now launched an attempted murder investigation, with at least five people being investigated.
“A 51-year-old man attended hospital following this incident.
“His XL bully dog died as a result of the disturbance.
“Enquiries are ongoing to trace everyone involved.
“Our investigation is at an early stage to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident.”
The video shows attackers with their faces concealed and dressed in black violently assaulting a man with fists and weapons before one person is pounced on by an XL bully who latches onto their arm.
The person can be seen struggling with the dog before another man intervenes, aiming a large knife at the dog’s head.
The car then drives off, with footage later showing one of the attackers clinging to the bonnet as it makes its way through the park at low speed.
The dog can be seen chasing the car and barking but later died of its injuries.
A police spokesperson said: “Detectives are appealing for information following the attempted murder of a 51-year-old man in Eric Hendrie Park, Deveron Road, Aberdeen on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
“Around 8.30pm, officers were called to a report of a vehicle within the park and a disturbance taking place.
“Officers attended and enquiries are ongoing in the area to trace everyone involved. A 51-year-old man attended Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following this incident. Hospital staff describe his condition as serious but stable.
“His XL Bully dog died as a result of the disturbance.”
