An influencer has been found dead with her daughter in her appartment in Brazil. The 33-year-old Lidiane Aline Lorenco and Miana Sophya Santos, 15, were discovered last Friday dead in their apartment after neighbours reported a horror smell. After not seeing them or hearing from them for some time, concerned neighbours started to sense a grim odour coming from Lidiane’s appartment. The influencer, with over 54,000 Instagram followers, had been living on the eleventh floor in a Rio de Janeiro flat with her daughter Miana.
The Fire Department arrived to the block of apartments and after receiving no answer from inside broke down the door. Inside they found Lidiane in a bedroom and Miana in the living room. Both had been dead for some time, police believe, while still investigating what caused the deaths.
Lidiane was an influencer, model and had been studying medicine in the years before her death, The Sun has reported.
She had moved to Rio de Janeiro from Santa Cecília a few years ago, on her own. At the time, Miana had been studying at Irma Irene Basic Education School in Santa Cecília and had only recently settled into her apartment in Rio. Over the weekend, their bodies were taken from Rio to the West for a burial which took place on Sunday in Santa Cecília.
This follows the tragic case of a young girl left orphaned after her parents were found dead in a scalding motel bathtub following a night of partying. Military police officer Jeferson Luiz Sagaz, 37, and his partner Ana Carolina Silva, 41 — a nail salon owner — were discovered in the bathroom of a motel in Brazil.
According to investigators, the couple had apparently lost consciousness in a bathtub filled with 50°C water while a space heater continued to pump heat into the room.
