'I'm a royal expert and Meghan Markle's decision to stay at home avoids a royal crisis'

His black Range Rover was seen this morning driving into LAX’s private terminal just hours after the bombshell news broke.

Now US journalist and royal commentator Lee Cohen claimed leaving Meghan behind was the right thing for Harry to do as that will avoid a ‘royal crisis’.

He said the focus should be on the King’s welfare while he expressed his hope the recent devastating news will help “transform Harry’s heart and curb his dark impulses”.

Cohen exclusively told Express.co.uk: “Confronting mortality is a powerful thing and let us hope it can transform Harry’s heart and curb his dark impulses.

“It is by far better Meghan stays home. But let’s stay focused on the King’s welfare and be respectful of him and the caring family in Britain surrounding him. It’s a pity even to have to consider any distractions at this highly sensitive time.

“Like in Britain, we Americans are praying for the King’s full and speedy recovery.”

Earlier, the expert pinpointed the three major benefits Harry’s solo return to the UK will have on his tumultuous relationship with the Royal Family.
