UCLA coach Cori Close sees something special in Illinois’ young team.
Potential and promise.
And after her second-ranked Bruins beat the Illini by 13 points Wednesday, Close wanted to make that known.
“I would say to this young core group at Illinois that if they can stay together through the ups and downs and fight the urge to choose themselves or to look elsewhere, or I would say the grass isn’t greener on the other side, it’s green where you water,” Close told reporters.
