‘I tried Domino’s new festive 2024 menu and one item is the tastiest launch of all time’

With Christmas just around the corner, many food outlets are releasing their festive menus.

This includes Domino’s, whose festive offerings are available from November 11 to January 2.

The range is made up of tasty treats including Hot & Cheesy Dip complete with Twisted Doughballs, a Festive Wrap, Festive Loaded Fries, Mac n Cheese and The Festive One Pizza.

To finish off, the pizza company is also offering a delicious sweet treat, which is the new Twisted Doughballs with Chocolate and OREO Crumb.

The range will be accompanied by two new deals, which include the Festive Saver, where customers can get two medium pizzas and two classic sides for £25.99.

Speaking on the launch, Louise Pilkington, director of innovation at Domino’s said: “This year at Domino’s we’re all about abundance, we want to make sure there’s something for everyone on the festive table.

“We’re cheese aficionados at Domino’s and can’t wait to deliver piping Hot & Cheesy dips across the country, will you dip or dunk your dough? We want to know!”

Mac n Cheese

Kicking off the taste test strong was the Mac n Cheese which markets itself as a rich and creamy pasta dish loaded with mature cheddar cheese, red Leicester and mozzarella.

This dish was incredibly tasty and had really good flavour and lots of sauce unlike many other takeaway mac and cheese’s I’ve tried.

The layer of crispy cheese on the top really tied the whole dish together, and this was a side dish I kept going back to until it was finished.

Score: 9/10

Hot & Cheesy Dip with Twisted Doughballs

The idea of this dish reminded me of a camembert with hot bread or a hot cheese dip they do in the supermarket, and I’d never seen a takeaway offering this before so I was super excited.

It was tasty and the twisted doughballs are always a favourite in my house but the cheese was a little runny to actually stick to the doughball.

It didn’t have a strong flavour unless you soaked the doughball but it was tasty and definitely reminded me of Christmas.

Score: 6/10

The Festive One pizza

This pizza was topped with Christmas trimmings including turkey breast, Cumberland sausage, crispy smoked bacon, red onions and cranberry sauce along with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.

I’m always skeptical of cranberry sauce on food items like pizza as they can be too sweet but this one was absolutely delicious and the pizza would actually be missing something if it didn’t have the cranberry sauce.

All of the toppings worked so well together and tasted incredible, with the sage and onion marinated turkey super moist, the bacon adding a hint of saltiness and the cranberry sauce adding the perfect amount of sweetness to the dish.

Score: 9/10

Festive Loaded Fries

The Festive Loaded Fries include fries with cheese sauce and melted mozzarella topped with pulled sage and onion turkey breast, smoked bacon and cranberry drizzle.

Similar to the mac n cheese, this side dish was one I kept revisiting until it was finished, the textures were perfect, the taste was perfect, and the drizzle of cranberry sauce was the perfect amount.

I would have preferred the fries to be slightly crispier to hold the cheese sauce better but I could still pick them up without them breaking apart.

Score: 8/10

Festive Wrap

The Festive wrap makes its debut in 2024 which consists of a folded tortilla wrap packed with sage and onion turkey breast, red onion, mozzarella cheese and cheese sauce.

For me, this was my least favourite menu item due to the lack of cranberry sauce. I’d have thought this would be my favourite due to no cranberry sauce but it needed something to balance the flavours and take the edge off.

It was tasty and had a good amount of filling so if you really despise cranberry sauce, this could be a good option for you.

Score: 5/10

Twisted Dougballs with Chocolate

These doughballs were the perfect accompaniment to the rest of the dishes and by far my favourite pudding option I’ve tried from Domino’s, bar the cookies.

They consisted of fluffy and fresh doughballs covered in melted chocolate and topped with crunchy OREO crumbs.

I absolutely loved how the OREO crumb wasn’t soggy, and the savoury doughballs worked brilliantly with the chocolate for a non-sickly but delicious pudding.

Score: 10/10

I’d highly recommend checking these out along with the other festive menu items to get into the holiday spirit.

The food items are available to order online, through the Domino’s app or via your nearest store from November 11 until January 2.
