Spending lots of time outdoors is one of the most significant benefits of warmer weather, especially if you have a garden. Transforming your garden into a sanctuary means you’ll have somewhere to relax on summer evenings while topping up your tan.
As someone whose fridge is on a different floor from my garden, I’m always on the lookout for things that will make my life easier for enjoying beverages when I’m outside, and I spotted the Keter 30L Classic Cool Bar. The nifty item, which is available at Argos for £70, looks like a simple side table at first glance, but it’s got built-in storage for drinks. The same table is also sold at Amazon for £86.40, or there’s a white version with lights inside for £99 at Dunelm.
The double-walled ice box insulates ice and drinks, meaning you don’t have to run back and forth to the fridge when you’re spending hours on end in the garden. The lid locks in place so you can also use the top to put drinks on, or the inside of the table can be used as storage for magazines, sunglasses or whatever else you might need. There’s also a plug to drain the inside once the ice has melted.
The Keter 30L Classic Cool Bar has a 4.6 star rating on Argos, from shoppers investing ahead of the summer months and during the heatwave this week. One shopper said: ”Great space to store ice and bottles or cans in when hosting and the top table part is brilliant. Sleek design will fit in with anyone’s garden or balcony.”
Another commented: ”Great item, filled a quarter full with ice at 5pm loaded with cans and bottles, and it still had ice in the next day at 1pm. Best purchase this year, easy to empty with bottom bung, great that it doubles up as table highly recommend.”
A third happy shopper also gave some criticism: ”It looks really smart and high class. It’s a decent size and can hold a lot. The plug is great for draining it after the ice has melted. My only issue is you have to manually raise the lid. It would have been good if this had a piston which raised an lowered the lid when pressed. Nothing fancy, just what opens car boots.”
