Texas ace Jacob deGrom turned in a strong six-inning performance, leaving the game tied at 2–2, but the Red Sox depth proved too much. A two-run single with two outs in the seventh by Ceddanne Rafaela broke the deadlock, and a late home run from Jarren Duran helped secure a 6–3 Boston victory.
