How to make air fryer salmon taste better by making 1 simple marinade

0

Salmon is nutritious, filling and very flavourful, but if you prefer to marinade it to mask its strong smell, this recipe is for you. It takes only 13 minutes to throw together – or 15, if you like your salmon well-cooked. Each salmon fillet comes out perfectly tender, lightly crisped on the outside, and packed with protein – all for just 264 calories per serving.

Sharing this recipe for four online, Good Food stated: “Salmon fillets cook beautifully in an air fryer and make a delicious meal when coated in a herb seasoning and served with greens and grains.” Best of all, there’s minimal prep involved, making this dish ideal for busy weeknights.

Method

Place the salt, black pepper, dried herbs, and garlic granules–if using–in a small mixing bowl and stir to combine thoroughly.

Tip the blended seasoning onto a flat plate, spreading it out evenly. Lightly brush each salmon portion with a bit of olive oil, then press each fillet into the seasoning mixture so it’s fully coated on all sides.

Arrange the seasoned salmon in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure to space them out.

Set the temperature to 180C and cook for eight to ten minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

For thicker fillets, extend the cooking time slightly, checking after ten minutes and continuing in short intervals of one to two minutes until done.

Serve alongside steamed greens or a small side salad and a portion of rice or quinoa for a complete and nutritious meal.
