The first few waves of free agency have come and gone. It feels like a good time to check in on what the Jets have done and what still needs to be done.
The Jets attacked their defense, adding eight new players who could have prominent roles this season.
They did a little less on offense, but they added two new starters in Geno Smith and Dylan Parham.
I did a roster analysis at the beginning of February and listed a “need scale” for each position. I’m going to bring that back here and see how well general manager Darren Mougey and coach Aaron Glenn did in addressing those needs. The need scale was 1 to 5, with 5 being the biggest needs.
