UK weather maps show the exact date when highs of 24C will hit the country. Netweather has forecast sunny weather to come to the UK next week on Tuesday, May 13, bringing with it high temperatures.
The counties where it will be hottest are Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, and Lincolnshire. It will also be above 20C in Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, South Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Highland, Argyll and Bute, Dumfries and Galloway, Scottish Borders, Fife, Aberdeenshire, and Lanarkshire. The rest of the country will be below 20C, between 11C and 19C.
The Met Office said of the period: “Dry across the majority of the UK with clear or sunny spells for many areas as high pressure dominates the weather pattern across the UK.
“However, at the start of this period, thicker cloud is likely in the far north for a time with some patchy rain and drizzle in north and northwest Scotland. Similarly, over the first few days of this period, cloud will probably thicken in parts the southwest with a few showers in places, with a small chance some of these could be heavy or thundery.
“ Winds will mostly be light with daytime temperatures likely to be slightly above normal for the time of year, although there is a chance of some cold nights.”
This Evening and Tonight:
Dry for most this evening, but a few showers continuing along eastern coasts. Clear spells overnight will allow temperatures to fall and a patchy frost could develop for some. A few mist and fog patches are also possible.
Wednesday:
Most places will be fine and dry with sunny intervals. Rather warm in the west, but a touch cooler in the southeast with a strong breeze and a few showers.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Staying mostly dry, with sunny intervals and a few isolated showers. Feeling warm in the sunny spells, but chilly at time around southern coasts with brisk winds. Chilly nights.
