Another scorcher is on the way as the UK braces for 28C heat in the coming days. On August 29, temperatures are set to soar along England’s south coast, with highs of 28C predicted by Netweather maps.
The majority of southern England will enjoy warm conditions on Tuesday, with most counties from Sussex up to Gloucestershire forecast to see temperatures between 24C and 28C. Cornwall will feel slightly with a coastal breeze and highs of 21C to 22C. Further north, conditions will be pleasantly warm too.
According to the forecast, areas like Lincolnshire and Sheffield are expected to reach the low 20s, while Manchester should see around 18C.
East Yorkshire could see highs of 20C, but temperatures will begin to dip further north and west. In places like Newcastle and the Lake District, it is expected to max out in the high teens.
Wales will be slightly cooler with highs of 23C and lows of 16C, while Scotland and Northern Ireland will be similar in temperature with lows of 13C and highs of 18C.
The Met Office long-range forecast suggested that while there may be some warm weather in parts of the UK, there may also be some wind and showers between July 27 and August 5.
It said: “A weather regime dominated by westerly winds is likely at first. While showers or longer spells of rain will remain possible for all parts early in the period, the focus of wet weather will likely increasingly be focussed across the west and northwest, especially over hills where rain could be prolonged.
“The highest chance of drier and sunnier weather is expected to the east of hills, and across south and eastern areas.”
