In August, a British tourist was also seriously injured after losing control of his motorbike in Thailand’s capital Bangkok.

The 54-year-old Scotsman skidded along the ground before being run over by a 20-wheeler truck, which crushed his legs.

Shocking dashcam footage showed the truck passing through an intersection as the motorcyclist flew into view along the ground.

He appeared to get dragged under the huge tyres as sparks came from his bike, followed by a sickening thud.

Horrified onlookers quickly came to the man’s aide and called for an ambulance after the midnight crash.

The man was rushed to the Phramongkutklao Hospital where doctors were forced to amputate both his legs to stop a deadly infection from spreading.
