An incredible new high speed train has been built in China – promising to revolutionise travel.
China Railways has expanded its services with the introduction of the new route connecting major regions.
The services kicked off January 5, with high-speed trains that connect Hong Kong and Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang – a coastal province in east China.
This incredible new development will enable passengers to travel over 600 miles from one city to the other in less than seven hours, setting new heights for Chinese transport systems.
It features two key trains. The G99 and G100, which both operate between Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and Hong Kong’s, West Kowloon Station.
The service’s schedule updates involves a reroute which is what now connects Hong Kong with the bustling city of Hangzhou.
The G99 departs daily from Hangzhou West Station, stopping at Huangshan North and Nanchang East Stations before arriving at West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong. The 652-mile distance between the cities will take the new high-speed service six hours and 46 minutes to complete.
Starting at West Kowloon Station, the G100 features scheduled stops at Shenzhen North and Hizhou North Stations and after a six hour and 50 minute journey, it will arrive at Hangzhou West Station.
With the growing demand of efficient and convient travel, this new route change will provide a boost in both tourism and business connectivity between the two sucessful cities.
