A hit-and-run SUV fatally struck a 69-year-old woman in Midtown early Tuesday – ramming her with such force that both of shoes flew off, according to cops and surveillance footage.
The senior was struck around 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of East 57th Street and Second Avenue, according to authorities.
She was taken to the Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries, according to police.
The driver, behind the wheel of a black SUV, fled the scene, police said.
Footage from the darkened street shows the driver barreling down the sheet, knocking the victim off her feet and sending her shoes flying – with one ending up on the sidewalk.
The motorist had not been caught hours later.
The victim’s identity has not been released, pending family notification.
