Heinz launches new beans with an interesting twist – ‘delicious’

Heinz has launched its new range of beans, and they come with some surprising twists. Heinz is perhaps the brand most famous for its tinned baked beans, a simple yet delicious British classic. Heinz baked beans have been around for decades and loved by generations, becoming a staple in many households for breakfast, lunch and tea. Whether they are served over toast, served as part of a full English breakfast or used to elevate a jacket potato, baked beans have a special place in our hearts.

Heinz has launched new bean pouches inspired by cuisines from around the world. The new pouches are made in just 90 seconds in the microwave and come in three flavours: Chilli Black Beanz, Curry Chickpeaz, and Tomato Cannellini Beanz. The iconic bean brand, which was founded in the US in the 19th century, says the beans are crafted from natural ingredients, contain no artificial flavours, and are low in sugar while being a source of protein and fibre.

The pouches are sold for £2.50 per portion and can be purchased at Sainsbury’s and through the online supermarket, Ocado. The Chilli Black Beanz feature black beans simmered in a smoky chipotle sauce, which Heinz says is perfect for tacos and pairing with spicy rice.

Meanwhile, the Curry Chickpeaz are mildly spiced and combined with spinach in a coconut curry sauce, which the bean and ketchup brand says is ideal for curry night to serve with rice and naan. Finally, the Tomato Cannellini Beanz come in an Italian-inspired tomato and garlic sauce, recommended with fresh sourdough for a modern twist on beans on toast.

Alessandra de Dreuille, director of meals at Heinz commented: “Combining our years of beans expertise with consumer cravings for adventurous recipes and world foods, our new range takes everything people love about beans – taste, convenience, comfort – and serves them up in new, delicious ways.”

The reviews for these beans have been pretty positive so far. One customer who tried the Chilli Black Beanz said: “These beans are so delicious and taste homemade that I low key pretend I made them when friends come over. They are the perfect side dish on taco night.”

Another shared: “Easy to prepare and absolutely delicious… This is now a regular purchase.”

Alessandra added: “Ready in minutes, our three new dishes make it easier than ever for Brits to enjoy and add even more beans and pulses as part of their daily meals.”
