Heidi Montag managed to send social media into a frenzy with just two words.
“Wake up.”
That was the entirety of the former “Hills” star’s post on X Saturday, but the simple message quickly exploded online, racking up nearly 188,000 views in short order while pulling in thousands of likes, reposts, and replies as husband Spencer Pratt’s increasingly viral Los Angeles mayoral campaign barrels ahead.
The stripped-down tweet, posted to Montag’s 1 million-plus followers, drew more than 9,500 likes and hundreds of comments, proving once again that even the most minimal move from the reality TV couple can ignite massive engagement.
Montag’s cryptic post landed as Pratt continues to transform his once-unthinkable mayoral run into one of LA’s wildest political spectacles.
The former MTV villain has leaned heavily into viral campaigning — using bold anti-establishment rhetoric and celebrity notoriety to position himself as an unconventional challenger in the race. Recent coverage has highlighted how social media has become central to his popularity.
While Montag’s tweet made no direct mention of politics, the timing sparked immediate speculation among fans and followers, many interpreting it as yet another subtle boost for Pratt’s headline-grabbing campaign.
Meanwhile, Pratt responded to a potential endorsement by President Donald Trump in classic Pratt fashion: With a GIF of himself.
Rumors have been swirling in conservative circles that a bombshell endorsement by Trump could be coming for the former reality TV firebrand, who has seen Republicans and others rally around him in the Los Angeles mayoral race against Democratic incumbent Karen Bass.
In an era where political campaigns increasingly hinge on digital momentum, the couple’s posts continue to show that sometimes the simplest message can generate the loudest noise.
