An amber heat health alert has been extended to more areas of England as temperatures soar on Monday. The UKHSA and Met Office said amber alerts now applied to the West Midlands and Yorkshire and the Humber regions as well as the East Midlands, South East, South West, London and the East of England until 9am on Wednesday, July 2.
A yellow heat health alert has been issued for the North West region,n while there is no alert for the North East. MORE TO FOLLOW
