A prominent left-wing online personality from California with increasing influence among top Democrats attacked Asian Americans as “dogs for white people” and teared into a Vietnamese refugee, videos unsurfaced on Tuesday show.

The Democratic Party is dealing with a juggling act around Hasan Piker, who is based in the Los Angeles area. While some in the party have called to boycott him for controversial comments, others — including some California Democrats — have not shied away from being on his platform.

Hasan Piker is a popular left-wing streamer.

The divisive streamer, in one of the videos, reacted negatively to a 2020 BBC video featuring Vietnamese refugee Bach Hac, who explained why some in her community supported President Donald Trump.

Piker went on an expletive-filled rant, asking her rhetorically, “Who has f–ed you harder? America or f–ing Ho Chi Minh? Suck my d–k, old lady. Goddamn dude. F–k this refugee, ok? Seriously. F–k this, South Vietnamese, motherf–ing Christian, pyschotic f–ing refugee.”

He then added she should go back to Vietnam and said “I f–king hate these people.”

In another video, Piker asked if he did anything anti-Asian, then he compared Asian Americans to “dogs to white people.”

“You are literally barking for white people. Shut the f–k up.”

Piker deleted the footage, published by the Republican National Committee, from his livestream, Fox News reported. It’s unclear when the footage originally aired, and The California Post reached out to Piker for comment.

The Post also didn’t immediately hear from multiple California Democrats running or speculated to run for office about their past associations with Piker.

California Congressman Ro Khanna told NBC News recently he doesn’t regret going on Piker’s livestream. In fact, Khanna slammed Democrats who want to boycott the streamer, saying those people “will cost us future elections.”

Khanna is speculated to eye the 2028 presidential race.

Saikat Chakrabarti, a millionaire linked to Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez who is competing to replace U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, seems to embrace Piker strongly. The far-left candidate posted a reel to his campaign account where he appeared with Piker and called him his “friend.”

Billionaire Tom Steyer also has appeared on Piker’s platform. Steyer is running an aggressively progressive campaign for California governor.

The Democrat with the most contentious relationship with Piker is probably Gov. Gavin Newsom, another likely 2028 presidential contender. Newsom was one of the few White House hopefuls willing to go on Piker’s platform, according to a Politico survey.

However, Piker has claimed the governor declined to show up. Piker has criticized Newsom before, even suggesting he’d vote for a third party candidate over Newsom.
