Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson lit up the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Friday, strolling hand in hand on the red carpet in matching blush-pink dresses.
Hudson, crowned the festival’s Artist of the Year for her Oscar-moniated performance in “Song Sung Blue,” radiated confidence in a breathtaking gown shimmering with pearl linings and bronze beads.

Paltrow matched her longtime friend’s elegance in a sheer, sleeveless pink blouse over a matching tube bra, showing a hint of midriff above a coordinated mini-skirt with a dramatic train.
Both stars finished their looks with sparkling diamond drop earrings. Hudson wore her signature beachy waves, while Paltrow opted for a sleek ponytail that added a fresh, modern edge.
Hudson won the award for her role as Claire Sardina in the musical drama, which tells the true story of a married couple from Wisconsin who fronted the Neil Diamond tribute band “Lightning & Thunder.”

The honor comes ahead of the Academy Awards in March, where Hudson will vie for an Oscar in the Best Actress category 25 years after nabbing a nomination for her role in “Almost Famous.”
