Greta Thunberg has ignited a storm of backlash after yelling “f*** Israel” during a heated pro-Palestine rally in Germany.

The climate change activist has been accused of being a “Hamas shill” after the shocking footage emerged.

Thunberg, 21, was reportedly speaking during a discussion on “solidarity with Palestine and the climate movement” at a demonstration in the main city square of Mannheim on Friday that was organised by the Zaytouna group.

During a clip of the rally, she is heard shouting “F*** Germany,” before laughing. “And f*** Israel,” she added, which the crowd cheered and clapped at.

A spokesperson for the city said that over 700 people attended, adding that the demonstration was peaceful.

However, the footage of Thunberg has been widely shared online and has led to fierce criticism of the young activist.

Conservative regional parliamentary party leader Manuel Hagel told the Jerusalem Post: “Mannheim does not need a platform for such dehumanising positions and our country does not need the presence of people like Greta Thunberg.”

The centre-Right member of the local state parliament added she was “moving very consciously in close proximity to anti-Semitism”.

A viral X post by Dr. Eli David said: “All those who supported her climate cult must feel like a bunch of idiots now.”

Earlier this year, Thunberg was detained by police twice on the same day in the Netherlands as officers removed protesters partially blocking a road in the Dutch city.

Here, she was seen flashing a victory sign as she sat in a bus used by police to take detained demonstrators from the scene of a protest in The Hague against Dutch subsidies and tax breaks to companies linked to fossil fuel industries on April 6.

And earlier this year the Swedish 21-year-old’s public order charge was thrown out after it was found police had imposed “unlawful” conditions during an environmental protest outside the InterContinental Hotel in Mayfair, London, on October 17.
