Good Morning Britain panellist Narinda Kaur has received a wave of backlash following her four-word remark about the Duchess of Sussex on social media. The outspoken presenter shared a video of Meghan Markle, who is clearly looking forward to the Christmas season.
The clip shows the mother-of-two wearing a green dress advertising her brand As Ever’s Christmas collection, which includes honey and wine. In the clip, shared on her Instagram, Meghan pours honey over desserts and glazes a Christmas turkey with it. The festive range also includes a $64 candle paying tribute to her wedding to Prince Harry. The candle, scented with Moroccan mint, cardamom, and tea leaves, is said to capture “cherished memories” of her wedding day.
While the clip has excited Meghan’s fans, Narinder was quick to comment on it. She wrote, “Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, just dropped her ‘Holidays’ video. The fact that she hasn’t used the term “Christmas” is gonna wind up the usual suspects something nicely. I’m here for it.”
Taking to the comment section following Narinder’s “rage baiting” remark, one person fumed: “Can we stop posting her disgusting s**t please.”
Another said: “Really, I don’t think people care one way or another unless perhaps if your living depends on relentless click baiting…”
A third wrote: “Why’s that you numpty. She’s American, and all Americans call it the holidays and not Christmas. Trying to stir s**t yet failing. Crawl back under your rock, dear.”
Another penned: “She’s American, they always say holidays because it includes Thanksgiving. This isn’t what you are trying to make it out as. But it was a good attempt at stirring up hate towards her. It is very sad that you have deliberately tried to get people to abuse her online for likes.”
Others were on Narinder’s side, with a follower commenting about Meghan’s clip: “She’s not relatable, remarkable or relevant. No one, literally no one, cares about her video drop.”
Someone else added: “Nobody needs stirring up by her. Meghan does that all by herself, which is every grifting opportunity she thinks up.”
