Glastonbury Festival-goers 'despair' at worst stage time clashes for 2025

Glastonbury Festival-goers are facing a dilemma as they grapple with heart-wrenching stage time clashes, leaving many to make tough choices between their favourite acts.

The iconic Worthy Farm event, gearing up for its grand opening in the last week of June, has left fans with the tricky task of deciding which performances to sacrifice.

With an impressive roster featuring the likes of Charli XCX and Neil Young, festival enthusiasts are torn, particularly when it comes to choosing between rock legends Weezer and the talented Lucy Dacus.

A post on the r/GlastonburyFestival subreddit sparked a discussion about the most disappointing clashes.

The user’s post read: “What clashes are people mourning? Lets get the despair out of our systems now! Also it’s interesting learning about people’s tastes from their clashes. I have three three-way clashes that are killing me.”

They continued: “Charli XCX / Doechii / Scissor Sisters: Already knew about this one before the timings were released, but it’s still devastating!

“Every one will be an awesome Saturday night. Charli will be epic after brat last year, all my friends will be at Scissor Sisters, and I’ve been obsessed with Doechii this year as I love theatrical music and staging.

“Lucy Dacus / Weezer / JADE: All super different, but I would love being at each one for different reasons… Wet Leg / Paris Paloma / Lola Young: No idea how to decide!”

Festival-goers are faced with heart-wrenching dilemmas on who to watch perform. One attendee expressed their struggle online, stating: “Parcels and Future Islands is really tough.”

Meanwhile, the scheduling conflict between Doechii and Neil Young has left another fan utterly torn. They asked: “Am I the only person gutted I can’t see Doechii and Neil Young?”

Another replied: “This is my biggest clash, too. Choosing Neil Young purely because he’s not, well, young, and I’ll probably get more opportunities to see Doechii in the future. Plus, he’s the only person in the lineup who I’ve got tattooed on my body.”

Advice for those excited to catch Kneecap was clear, though cautionary, as some suggested that access might be restricted, much like it was with the Sugababes’ overcrowded gig the previous year.

One user claimed: “Anyone torn between Kneecap and another act should go and see the other act. Not everyone who wants to see Kneecap will be able to. West Holts will almost certainly reach capacity and be closed off as it was for the Sugababes last year.

“If you want to guarantee seeing Kneecap, you should go and see Bob Vylan beforehand, which is no bad thing.”

Another user suggested the Weezer clash was the most painful of all. They joked: “I don’t think my 15-year-old self with his metal chain hanging from his wallet would appreciate me later experiencing a dilemma between Weezer and a former member of Little Mix.

“She’s just so out of the box, proper guilty pleasure.” Another agreed, adding: “Feel you man.”
