WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Since Jaxson Dart last spoke with the media, the Giants added a player with an all-world résumé and plenty to prove as he attempts a comeback with the team that gave him his NFL start more than a decade ago.

Odell Beckham Jr. is that player, and Dart now has a former star wide receiver to get to know on and off the field. Beckham, 33, did not play at all in 2025.

“I’m definitely excited about ‘O,’ ” Dart said Wednesday after the first training camp practice at The Greenbrier. “I think the big thing is you never know how somebody’s going to respond from having that time off coming back.

“I think that his ability to pour into his teammates — and you would think a lot of times when there’s a big comeback that it’s about the individual himself, but he’s really just about the teammates, the guys around him. I’ve loved having him here so far. He’s just a great guy.

“He’s a great leader. He’s had the ultimate experience of the highs and the lows, and I think that the more that you’re able to communicate with him, get perspectives from him, with him also being, obviously, a really good player, is huge for our team.”

General manager Joe Schoen not only survived the tumult of back-to-back seasons of 3-14 and 4-13 — plus the firing of his good friend, former Giants head coach Brian Daboll — but he also received a significant amount of job security from team ownership.

Following the NFL draft, Schoen signed a multiyear contract extension — believed to be four years — to partner with John Harbaugh moving forward.

“Very thankful to the Mara and the Tisch families for the extension,” Schoen said. “Just grateful and looking forward to the season.

“Coach and I are going to work together and try to put together the best roster we can and go out and win games. And again, it doesn’t matter how long you have on your contract, it’s always going to be year to year. So, you just go out and do the best we can and try to put the best team on the field for 2026. And I feel like we’ve done that this offseason.”
