Who doesn’t like a free T-shirt?

At head coach John Harbaugh’s directive, the Giants distributed black T-shirts late last week with a “1-0” slogan as a reminder to the organization to think one game at a time.

The shirts were unveiled at Wednesday’s practice and Harbaugh, general manager Joe Schoen and some other front office and coaching staffers wore them Thursday too.

“1-0,” Harbaugh said. “That’s the answer to your question right there. That’s the point. That’s what we’re doing.”

Defensive tackle D.J. Reader is an 11-year veteran with a big collection of team slogan T-shirts. Are they corny or useful?

“I always like a new T-shirt,” Reader said. “They don’t matter necessarily, but it’s always a good reminder when you see it. You know what it means, we’ve talked about it, and it’s a good reminder of checking you back to reality: ‘Let’s go 1-0 this week.’”

It’s not a counter of the team’s record without Jaxson Dart. There will be no updated 2-0 or 1-1 version next week.

“One week at a time, one day at a time, one play at a time,” Cam Skattebo said. “You have to continue to win in the moment. There are 14 games left, but we play one game this week. We’re not thinking about two games ahead, three games ahead. The ‘1-0’ is going 1-0 each week.”

Reader is a former baseball pitcher so the idea of a win-loss record resonates with him.

“I like them,” Reader said. “I’ve always thought of a next-pitch mentality. I can’t tell you who we play three weeks from now. Let’s just try to win that game and then try to win the next game that comes up. Everyone knows the start date of the regular season and end of the regular season, but it’s what in between that matters.”

An interception a game brings the accolades your way.

Safety Jevon Holland was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month after recording three interceptions — one in each game, including a victory-clincher against the Titans — two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

It’s been quite a turnaround for Holland, who did not meet expectations in the first year of his three-year, $45 million free agent contract when he had his hand in only one takeaway.

Holland had five sacks, five interceptions, five forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries over his four years with the Dolphins.

LT Andrew Thomas (groin) did not practice for the second straight day, which is different than last week when he took one day off, returned and then played. RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. (knee), CB Deonte Banks (calf) and safety Tyler Nubin (calf) were limited.
