Get Disney+ completely free with this little-known subscription trick

Our smartphones are the cleverest tech tools we own, stuffed with apps that help us communicate, get stuff done, and entertain us. Two of the most popular apps and services in the UK are Uber and Disney+, and thanks to a collaboration between the two brands, there is a way to get a lengthy Disney+ subscription without paying a penny for it.

From May 16 to May 23, Uber One, Uber’s monthly and annual subscription service, is offering a week of deals and competitions, including the chance to win one million Avios Points, 25 percent off Uber Exec rides, 50 percent off at Pizza Express and much more besides.

But the most eye-catching offer, which is actually available beyond the current week of offers until February 2026, is the chance to redeem up to a whole year of Disney+ free when you sign up to Uber One.

When you pay for a year of Uber One upfront for £49.99, Uber will send you an email code within 48 hours to redeem a 12 month subscription to the Disney+ Standard plan. This offer is available to new or returning Disney+ subscribers, and is your free ticket to a whole year of streaming on Disney+ without any ads.

This service is normally £8.99 per month or £89.90 for a yearly plan.

If you prefer to pay monthly for Uber One, sign up to Uber One for £4.99 per month and Uber will send you a code within 48 hours to redeem a six month subscription to Disney+ Standard with Ads, usually £4.99 per month. That’s £29.94 of Disney+ for free.

There’s even a way to get both Uber One and Disney+ free for one month. You can redeem a month’s free trial for Uber One and be sent the code to get Disney+ Standard with Ads and enjoy all the perks and streaming content for four weeks. If you want to pay nothing, you’ll need to cancel your Uber One subscription before you’re charged.

Uber says if you don’t rejoin Uber One within 10 days then it will cancel your Disney+ sub, but at least you’ll have got a month totally free.

Uber One on its own offers discounts on Uber rides and Uber Eats food orders, £0 delivery on many orders and other ongoing promotions within the two Uber apps.

If you take rides, order food and watch TV then this could be a great deal for you.

Of course, it’s always best to take a second and think if you want these services. Signing up for a £49.99 subscription is still pricey, so consider affordability. You also might not live in an area that offers Uber rides or Uber Eats deliveries, in which case you should just pay for Disney+ separately – it’s about the same cost.
