Boden has slashed the price of one of its best-selling colourful cardigans in time for spring. The Olivia Merino Cardigan usually retails for £110, however shoppers can now add it to their wardrobe for £66 for a limited time. This makes it cheaper than similar alternatives on the market, such as the Cos Striped Merino Wool V-Neck Cardigan which is priced at £85.
Boden’s cardigan is available in sizes XS to XL and is made from ‘the softest wool’ featuring chunky horizontal stripes in a variety of colours. It has a slight boxy shape giving it a stylish retro vibe and a flattering V-neckline with three large button fastenings running down the front. It’s designed to finish at the top of the hip, pairing beautifully with jeans or trousers.
The Olivia Merino Cardigan would also look quirky worn over a plain dress to add some colour. Over 50 Boden customers have reviewed the garment to date, with it earning an overall rating of 4.5 stars. One delighted shopper said: “Very special. My new favourite cardigan. I love these colours together.”
“This is my go to sweater, it makes me happy,” wrote a second thrilled buyer. “Beautifully constructed, I love the colours and the fit is spot on for me… Since it’s on sale, I’m buying another in a different color. This just feels classic Boden to me and something I’ll wear for years.”
A third commented: “I am in love with this cardi. It’s so pretty on. The small fits me beautifully. I got three compliments on it the first day I wore it. It’s comfortable and very warm. I never want to take it off once it’s on.”
Unfortunately one person was left disappointed with the cardigan, as they explained: “I didn’t like the material at all. The cardigan feels heavy and stiff and at the same time doesn’t keep you warm. Even in the sale it’s overpriced.”
However, another Boden shopper disagreed, as they rated the cardigan five stars and said: “This cardi is so lovely, the colours are gorgeous. It has a modern boxy fit and it feels really high quality. I have no doubt that I will keep it and love it for many years.”
You can buy the Olivia Merino Cardigan from Boden here for £66 while the sale is live. If you prefer a more muted look, the Cos Striped Merino Wool V-Neck Cardigan costs £85 and features contrasting black and white stripes. It has a V-neckline, front patch pockets and a wide ribbed hem.
Elsewhere, ASOS is selling a knitted raglan cardigan in red stripe costing £32. This cardi has a round neckline with raglan sleeves.
