What our Post expert thinks about Mets vs. Phillies
The Phillies continue to ride one of the hottest hitters in baseball, as Kyle Schwarber is on pace for a 60-homer season after launching three more home runs against the Mets last Saturday. Schwarber is threatening both the franchise’s single-season home run record and the 400th homer of his career, giving Philadelphia one of the league’s most dangerous middle-of-the-order bats.
The Mets, meanwhile, are still searching for answers everywhere as one of the four teams in the National League under .500. David Stearns’ job is in serious question after having patched together a team that ranks second-to-last in wRC+ while injuries have also impeded any traction.
